The Questions You Answer Every Week Could Become Your Next Training Asset

Turn repeated questions, explanations, and processes into training that creates value again and again.

Most business owners, consultants, and subject-matter experts do not think of themselves as sitting on a library of valuable content. They think they are simply doing their jobs: answering a customer question, explaining a process to a new employee, helping a client avoid a mistake, or showing someone the fastest way to get a result.

But those repeated explanations are evidence. They show you where people need clarity, what they are willing to ask for help with, and which parts of your expertise can become a repeatable learning experience.

The opportunity: If you have explained the same thing three times, you may have the beginning of a lesson. If you have solved the same problem for several people, you may have the beginning of a course, workshop, onboarding program, or consulting offer.

Start with the questions, not the course platform

A common mistake is beginning with technology: choosing a platform, buying equipment, or trying to record hours of video. The stronger starting point is the real problem your audience is already trying to solve.

Review the questions you receive from customers, employees, colleagues, or clients. Look at your sent email, meeting notes, proposals, customer-service conversations, and the tasks people regularly ask you to walk them through. Then identify the questions that are urgent, valuable, and repeatable.

Use the Question-to-Training framework

  • Question: What does someone repeatedly ask you to explain?
  • Problem: What frustration, delay, risk, or lost opportunity sits behind that question?
  • Result: What should the learner be able to do after receiving your guidance?
  • Steps: What sequence do you naturally use when you help someone?
  • Support: What checklist, template, example, or decision guide would make success easier?

That five-part outline is enough to create a useful mini-course, internal training lesson, customer resource, live workshop, or lead-generating guide. You can expand it later; first, make the knowledge usable.

Why this matters to a growing business

Knowledge trapped in one person creates a bottleneck. Every time the same question returns, the expert must stop, repeat the answer, and hope it is applied correctly. Structured training allows the answer to keep working even when the expert is serving a client, leading a team, or growing the business.

It also creates consistency. Customers receive clearer guidance. Employees learn the same standard. New hires ramp up faster. Prospects experience your expertise before they buy. Your knowledge becomes an asset instead of a task that must be performed from scratch each time.

Build it in Growth Guild

Choose one repeated question and create a short learning path with three parts: what the learner needs to understand, what they need to do, and how they will know they did it correctly. Keep the first version small enough to complete and useful enough to test with a real learner.

From the Executive Growth Group Growth Desk

Training is most powerful when it supports a business objective. Before building a larger program, connect it to a measurable need such as reducing onboarding time, improving customer adoption, shortening delivery time, increasing lead conversion, or protecting quality as the company grows.

This week’s action step

Do this now: Write down the five questions you answer most often. Circle the one that costs you the most time or causes the most confusion. Turn that answer into a simple three-step lesson.
